The stadium is one of the oldest cricket venues in the UAE and has a seating capacity of 16,000. It has hosted a number of international cricket matches, including ODIs, T20Is, and Test matches.
History:
The Sharjah Cricket Stadium was built in 1982 and was inaugurated with a match between Pakistan and India. The stadium has been a popular venue for international cricket matches since then, particularly during the 1990s when Sharjah was a neutral venue for cricket matches between India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
